Murals in Issaquah homes
With the Issaquah Alps outside many windows, it is no surprise that forest, mountain, botanical and sky murals are common choices here. Townhomes in the Highlands and Talus have compact bedrooms where a single mural wall makes a strong statement; larger homes add stair walls and bonus rooms.
Measure before you order
- Measure width at the top, middle and bottom of the wall.
- Measure height at the left, center and right.
- Use the largest numbers and add the printer's recommended bleed.
- Note outlets, switches, windows and furniture that will cover part of the image.
Townhome walls are often slightly out of square, which matters for a single printed image. We can review your measurements before you order — see how to measure walls.
Placing the image
| Room | Where the focal point usually goes |
|---|---|
| Bedroom | Centered above the headboard |
| Living room | Above or beside the sofa, clear of the TV |
| Kids room | At the child's eye level |
| Stair wall | Where it is seen from the entry |
Installation
- All panels unrolled and checked in order before paste goes on.
- First panel hung to a plumb line, not to the corner.
- Overlap or butt seams per the printer's instructions.
- Bleed trimmed at ceiling, floor and openings.
Wall surface
Murals show texture and patches more than busy repeating patterns. Smooth, primed walls give the best result; see wall preparation.

Questions
Can you check my mural measurements before I order?
Yes. Send the product link, measurements and a wall photo, and we will review size, bleed and panel layout.
Will a mural work on a textured wall?
Texture usually shows through a mural. A skim coat gives a smoother result; we review the wall from photos first.
Can a mural wrap around a corner?
Some can, but the image bends at the corner. Most murals look best on one flat wall.
